1880 U.S. Federal Census for 33 year old Jonathon (A. J.) Bailey, his wife Louisa (23) and children aged 1 through 8. Jonathon was a farmer.

An 1851 map showing the four southern Eyelets (major divisions) of Syria, which was part of the Ottoman Empire. Safed, today part of Israel, was in 1852 part of Acre, one of those Eyelets. Safed lies just to the east of the town of Acre. This is the apparent birthplace of James Meetre, the paternal grandfather of Rick, Jeff and Janet Meetre.
